Celebrating our ‘Service Excellence’ Win at the SME MK & Buckinghamshire AwardsOn Monday 3rd March, the team at Diane Butterworth Ltd joined hundreds of local business leaders at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Milton Keynes for the 2025 SME MK & Buckinghamshire Business Awards – and we’re delighted to share that we took home Gold in the Service Excellence category.
The Gold in the Service Excellence Award recognises our deep commitment to consistently high standards of client care, prioritisation of client communication and reliable project delivery – on time, every time.
To be recognised among such an impressive group of businesses was a proud and humbling moment for our entire team.
An Evening of Recognition and Celebration
This year marked the 8th annual celebration of the SME MK & Buckinghamshire Business Awards, organised by Events & PR.
The evening was a black-tie affair hosted at the Double Tree by Hilton, part of the impressive Stadium MK, and it attractive around 300 professionals from across the county’s business community.
The night began with a buzzing drinks reception at 6:30 PM, which allowed us to meet fellow finalists and enjoy in the excitement and anticipation of the event.
With 22 categories in total, the awards showcased the talent, innovation and determination of businesses from every quarter of the county. From high-growth start-ups to well-established organisations, the ceremony reflected the strength and diversity of our local economy.

Winning the Service Excellence Award is a particularly special achievement for us, as it speaks directly to what drives our work.
At Diane Butterworth Ltd, we believe that great service is not just about being helpful – it’s about anticipating client needs, educating using our niche experience and being consistent and reliable from the very first conversation to the final deliverable.
The judging panel, comprised of experts and sponsors, praised our clear commitment to understanding client needs, tailoring our solutions, and going the extra mile.
It’s fantastic to have those efforts recognised in such a public and prestigious way.
A Glimpse Into the Future
One of the standout aspects of the SME Awards is their focus on business progression.
Most of the gold winners, including ourselves, are now automatically shortlisted for the SME National Business Awards later this year – another opportunity to share our work on a wider stage.
We’d also like to extend our congratulations to all the other finalists and winners, including Mandy Hamerla – Modern HR who won Businesswoman Of The Year.
Celebrating each other’s successes is what these events are all about.
